The role of the Truck Sales Specialist is to source and engage customers, build strong relationships and meet sales targets for commercial trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs analyses, recommending suitable truck solutions and showcasing features and benefits through presentations and test drives.
- Handle sales documentation and compliance and provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sell the maximum number of trucks by understanding truck specifications and how to spec the correct body/truck for the required specifications of customers.
- Understand the fleet sales process, building relationships and achieving maximum first and second gross profits.
- Ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with the company sales policy to ensure return and referral sales.
- Initiate and close deals, adhering to all legal requirements in terms of CPA and necessary documentation.
- Network, promote and ensure activities are in line with focus to retail new cars.
- Communicate with Sales Manager for innovative concepts to improve sales and customer base.
- Develop and implement effective sales plans to stay ahead of competitors to ensure increased market share and new vehicle sales and profitability.
- Build and maintain customer relationships by ensuring the highest level of customer care.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years Automotive Commercial/truck Sales experience at a franchise dealership.
- Matric (Grade 12) required.
- Experience within a high-volume brand preferred.
- 3 Months Commission sheets/Payslips.
- Self and Target Driven.
- Leads Management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Negotiation & Deal building skills.
- Resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
- Must have MS Office, Evolve, Sales Workplace Experience.
- Valid Driver's License – code 14.
- Clear ITC Sales experience and knowledge of various truck brands is beneficial.
- Experience in B2B Sales is a bonus.
- Well established relationships in the trucking and commercial sector beneficial.
