Overview

Our graduate scheme is a fast-track 36-month programme, covering all aspects of marketing from product category support and marketing services to digital marketing and budget management.

We’ll give you a broad range of experiences and a rounded understanding of the marketing function within our South African businesses, where you will be involved in creating and delivering initiatives to support our sales goals. Perform well and you will gain your first responsibility after just 12 months, with the opportunity to own marketing for one of the product/service categories for your business(es).

During your 3-year programme, there is significant scope for you to create, contribute, and inspire in various marketing initiatives. Success in South Africa can lead to a category role within our Global Marketing team, allowing you to take your learnings and success to other countries and businesses.

We are looking for a newly qualified Marketing Graduate to join our team.

Requirements

• You will start as a Marketing Graduate Executive, supporting your Marketing Manager(s) by taking responsibility for:

• Understanding our systems & processes, including leads and enquiries models

• Supporting the marketing team with sales tracking for specific product/service lines and assisting finance with maintaining price lists where appropriate

• Participating in Route 1 sessions to understand the programme and marketing’s role, including creating training content

• Organising photo shoots

• Maintaining and updating customer and marketing databases

• Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions

• Creating content for frontline colleagues

• Managing the production of marketing materials like leaflets, posters, flyers, e-newsletters, and videos

• Learning how to manage an agency

• Running campaigns, managing budgets, and evaluating success

• Conducting competitor and market research with various methodologies in collaboration with the global category team

• Contributing to marketing plans

• Managing relevant sections of the company intranet and updating content as needed

• Supporting the Communications Specialist with communication efforts with frontline colleagues, including campaign updates and production information

• Understanding core products and services of the business

• Understanding the innovation process and collaboration with the category team for forecasting

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric

• Marketing-related Degree

• Customer-focused mindset

• Ability to analyze large amounts of information and apply insights to business decisions

• Strong relationship-building skills within the marketing team and with remote colleagues

• Comfort in leading projects with tight deadlines and budgets

• Good analytical and interpersonal skills

• Proactive attitude and creative thinking

• Ability to present information effectively to frontline colleagues
