The IIE MSA Campus has a vacancy for a Part-time Engineering Lecturer in the following fields :
Economic Decision Making for Sustainability : This module provides students with a solid foundation in Economics to make managerial decisions.
Embedded Systems : Focuses on tools used in developing embedded systems across different platforms.
Power Electronics : Covers high-power electronic devices and circuits, their effects on systems, and power quality issues.
Signal Processing : Equips students with skills to apply signal processing techniques in various scenarios.
Sociological Perspectives of Development : Analyzes development processes through sociological lenses, critiquing policies in Africa.
Statistical Methods : Develops statistical techniques for solving real-world engineering problems with variability and uncertainty.
Telecommunication Systems : Addresses key aspects of modern telecommunication systems for problem-solving in scenarios.
Geotechnical Engineering 2B : Expands knowledge of geotechnical materials, geology, and soil mechanics for engineering design.
Rural and Urban Infrastructure 2B : Introduces infrastructure development in rural and urban contexts, including settlement patterns.
Society and Practice 2B : Focuses on legal aspects of engineering, codes of conduct, and technologies in developing economies.
Structural Engineering 2B : Covers limit state design, material, and load factors related to structural design.
Water Engineering 2B : Introduces water cycle, fluid mechanics, and applications in water engineering design.
Minimum Qualification Requirements :
BEng / BIng / BSc (Eng) and a Master's degree in relevant discipline; professional registration with ECSA is advantageous.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements :
At least 2 years teaching experience at a recognized tertiary institution or industry experience of 5 years in related fields.
