Job title : Senior Sport and Recreation Coordinator: Sport Support and Federation Coordination

Requirements :

• A minimum of a Three-year Degree / National Diploma (NQF level 6) recognized by SAQA in Sport Management, Sport Science, Sport Administration, or a relevant qualification;
• 2 to 3 years relevant experience in a sport and recreation environment at a Senior / Officer level; Valid driver’s license;

Duties :

• Coordinate funding (transfers) to Sport and Recreation Bodies and monitor and evaluate the use of transferred funds.
• Provide logistical and administrative support to sport and recreation programmes as identified by the department.
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation processes and documentation for Sport and Recreation Bodies.
• Create a monitoring and evaluation schedule for allocated Sport and Recreation Bodies.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of programmes by Sport and Recreation Bodies and prepare reports.
• Communicate the monitoring and evaluation processes to Sport and Recreation Bodies prior to implementation.
• Coordinate the provision of financial support to Sport and Recreation Bodies, including reviewing and updating related documentation.
• Manage the application process for financial support, review applications for compliance, and communicate adjudication outcomes.
• Serve as the liaison point between the Department and Sport and Recreation Bodies, maintaining records of all documentation.
• Provide regular updates on programmes and coordinate non-financial support needs.
• Procure goods and services, oversee project coordination, and ensure successful delivery.
• Submit close-out reports for programmes and supervise subordinates.
