Our client in Alberton is looking for a Commercial Lawyer on a 1 year contract

POSITION INFO :

Our client in Alberton is looking for a Commercial Lawyer. We are looking for someone to fulfil the role on a 1 year contract basis, the following would be the qualifications and experience to consider :

• Law degree from a reputable university
• Licensed to practice law in their country (“qualified”)
• Minimum 5 years of Post Qualification experience in Commercial law (PQE)
• At least 3 years of experience with a law firm….area of practice should include commercial law
• Ideally, but not necessarily, experience with a multinational company as in-house counsel

Overview of responsibilities :

• Proactively supporting legal operations for all business units or sub business units and / or professional functions of Henkel operations in SSA
• Providing legal counselling and advice
• Managing the preparation or review of the contracts
• Managing external disputes and litigation
• And all other legal support

Territory :

• Based at Henkel office in S. Africa
• Above responsibilities for SSA, namely S. Africa, Kenya and Nigeria
