A well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Pretoria East is offering an exciting career opportunity for an Admitted Attorney with a focus on Commercial Litigation. POSITION INFO : Job profile

• Manage, administer, and operate own files, accounts, and legal department;
• Report to Principal on projects;
• Understand and align with client’s business needs and corporate relations;
• Draft specialized and general contracts, legal opinions, and tax opinions, including but not limited to:
• o Shareholder Agreements;
• o MOI;
• o Partnership Agreements;
• o Merger and Corporate Restructure Agreements;
• o Share Sale and Subscription Agreements;
• o Service Level Agreements;
• o Data Privacy Agreements, such as operator and data processor agreements, e-commerce contracts, etc.;
• o Joint Venture and Co-Operation Agreements.

Additional responsibilities include negotiation, reviewing, settling, and managing contracts, as well as handling transactional and commercial legal requirements.

Essential Qualifications :

• LL.B degree;
• Completed articles and admitted as an Attorney;
• 1-5 years of post-admission experience in Commercial Law or Litigation;
• Knowledge of Tax Law is advantageous;
• Own transport and driver's license for client site visits.

Preferred Additional Qualifications :

• Company Law;
• Tax Law (beneficial).

Skills and Experience :

• 1-5 years post-article experience in Commercial Law and/or Litigation;
• Excellent commercial experience;
• Knowledge of legislation related to Company Law, Tax, Business Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Fiduciary Services, Estate Planning, BEE;
• Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and team collaboration;
• Effective communication skills at all levels;
• Self-motivated and independent work ethic;
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Work primarily involves office work, with travel to client sites as needed.

Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
