We are looking for a loan officer to evaluate, authorize approval or deny loan applications.
You will act as liaison between customers and our financial institution and you will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.
You will be involved in new applications, re-applications from existing clients and following up on clients.
There is a need for being extremely organized as it is a fast paced industry that will test you daily.
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor in Commerce (Bcom); or Graduate with a Financial Background
- Strong attention to detail and a mind for numbers
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment
- Ability to work in a goal orient environment
- Evaluating credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits.
- Analyzing a client's income and expenses, evaluating bank statements and determining the relevant risk of the client.
- Evaluating a client's credit and financial history.
- Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information.
- Communicate with 3rd parties to confirm provided information.
- Justify decisions (approvals / rejections) and report on them.
- Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines.
- Further responsibilities will be given on the job, once established and have gathered an initial understanding of the business.
