A leading recruitment firm is searching for an experienced Underground Mine Manager to oversee operations in Rustenburg. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills in narrow tabular mining. You will ensure safety and efficiency while meeting production targets and comply with South African mining regulations. Candidates must have a Mining Engineering Degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Relocation to Rustenburg is required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Underground Mine Manager to oversee and optimise underground mining operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective production while maintaining compliance with South African mining regulations. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise in narrow tabular mining methods.
- Oversee and manage underground mining operations ensuring safety, efficiency and production targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with MHSA regulations and DMRE requirements promoting a strong safety culture.
- Lead and mentor teams including Mine Overseers and Shift Supervisors driving workforce performance and development.
- Implement and optimise narrow tabular mining methods and conventional stope mining techniques.
- Manage mine planning, production and operational strategies to maximise resource extraction.
- Ensure effective blasting operations, ground support and ventilation for safe underground mining.
- Oversee compliance reporting and stakeholder engagement with regulatory bodies and local communities.
- Advantageous: Experience in Chrome, Gold or Platinum mining and exposure to Chrome wash plants.
- Willingness to relocate to Rustenburg and be based on-site for operational oversight.
- Mining Engineering Degree
- Mine managers certificate of competence for metalliferous mines
- Underground blasting ticket for metalliferous mines
- Mine Overseers certificate of competence
- Min 10 years experience in narrow tabular underground mining
- Willing to relocate to Rustenburg area
