Job Description

This role is responsible for the ownership, management, planning, designing, implementation, and operations of the end-to-end security lifecycle for protecting all human and non-human digital identities and all devices (incl. servers, workstations, laptops, and mobile) across the technology landscape (incl. IT, cloud platforms, operational technology) and across all business operations of the organisation. This role ensures the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls, enforces adherence to zero-trust principles, and continuously improves the maturity of identity and device protection.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Build and own a cybersecurity capability for securing digital identities and securing devices/endpoints across all operations of the organisation.
  • Lead the design, architecture, roadmap, implementation, and operations of identity governance and administration (IGA), identity & access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), and secure remote access (SRA) across the organisation.
  • Lead the design, architecture, roadmap, implementation, and operations of endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms and vulnerability management (VM) programs.
  • Design identity & device security controls that extend securely across the technology landscape, including cloud platforms, on-premise, and operational technology environments.
  • Design and manage the security process lifecycle related to all human and non-human digital identities and all devices and endpoints.
  • Create and maintain security policies, standards, baselines, and procedures related to identity security and device security, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, zero-trust principles, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Assess identity & device related security risks, such as weak authentication, excessive privileges, and poor provisioning processes, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with IM teams to ensure timely patching, configuration management, and remediation of vulnerabilities identified on all devices.
  • Oversee the successful integration of business applications, enterprise applications, and critical infrastructure (cloud and on-premise) with the IGA/IAM/PAM/SRA platforms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits concerning controls for identity security and devices security.
  • Provide training guidance to IM teams and business stakeholders on best practices for identity security and device security.
  • Prepare and present regular metrics and key risk indicators (KRIs) on the overall health and security posture of the organisation’s identity & device landscape to IM management and business stakeholders.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies and approaches to stay ahead of evolving threats targeting identities and devices.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with identity & device security vendors, service providers, and consultants.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree/Diploma or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing or related field.
  • It would be advantageous to have a postgraduate qualification, cybersecurity, or a related field OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
  • Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license
  • Industry Certificates:
    • Security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSK, CIAM); and/or
    • Cloud security certifications (e.g. Microsoft Security, Azure Security, CCSK, CCZK); and/or
    • Relevant other security vendor certifications (any identity security solutions, and any endpoint security solutions).

Experience

  • 5 – 7 years working experience in a similar role

Technical knowledge(experience) required for role:

  • Excellent communication, training, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate working experience with identity providers technology and enterprise directories.
  • Experience working in large-scale, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience securing accounts and services identities in cloud and OT environments.
  • Experience designing device security in environments include cloud and OT.
  • Experience working with mobile device security platforms and policies

You will also need to have:

  • No criminal record
  • Good command of English language both written and speaking

If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness test.
