Job summary
A manufacturing solutions provider is seeking a Maintenance Fitter in Gqeberha. The role involves mechanical inspections, repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have a Grade 12 education, a trade test, and 2-3 years of mechanical maintenance experience. Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, conducting routine maintenance, and supporting production teams.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and repair skills.
- Computer literacy including MS Office and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults to reduce downtime.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure equipment compliance.
- Provide support to production teams by resolving process-related issues.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Assist with training and mentoring of apprentices.
- Uphold safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards.
