A leading technology company is seeking a Compliance Manager in Vaal Marina to oversee the certification process for electronic and software products. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, 5-7 years of experience in compliance, and strong project coordination skills. Responsibilities include managing approvals, maintaining technical files, and liaising with test labs. The company offers a full-time position with competitive benefits.
To execute the end-to-end certification process for a dedicated portfolio of the companys electronic and software products. To secure and maintain the required global approvals by managing technical submissions, coordinating with external test labs and homologation partners and ensuring all product documentation meets stringent international standards.
Functional. Manages the entire approvals lifecycle for assigned products from project kick-off to certificate issuance ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
Compiles reviews and maintains the required Technical Construction Files according to statutory requirements for approval applications.
Serve as the primary point of contact for test labs and homologation partners; schedule required testing, provide technical clarification and track progress.
Prepares and submits formal applications for new products and maintenance updates to existing products ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Communicates system test results and failures to the engineering department providing clear information to support design changes or improvements.
Ensures all test reports submissions and certificates are meticulously documented and archived in the central company repository.
Provides regular clear status updates on certification projects to internal stakeholders including Program Management and R&D.
Provides focused technical support for the approvals process acting as a communication link between internal engineering teams and external testing bodies.
Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field. A minimum of 5-7 years of direct experience in a product compliance approvals or certification role within an electronics / software R&D or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated hands‑on experience managing submissions for major international standards. Excellent technical report writing skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong project coordination and organisational skills. High level of computer literacy. Proficiency in MS Office products is essential; experience with Jira is an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal technical teams and external partners. Familiarity with the general approvals process and the structure of technical files.
Experience in the explosive environment or with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC) is an advantage but not required.
