Job summary
A manufacturing recruitment agency is searching for an experienced Cost & Management Accountant to join a project-driven manufacturer in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will hold an accounting degree and possess at least 5 years of experience in a busy factory environment. Responsibilities include preparing management accounts, reviewing sales orders, and managing stock reconciliations. Looking for an experienced Cost & Management Accountant for a project-driven manufacturer:
Accounting degree + minimum 5 years' experience in a busy factory.
- Review, correct and post sales invoices
- Update sales order tracker for estimating team
- Review margins on sales orders and ensure correct project code allocation
- Create work orders
- Tracking of finished goods
- Closing work orders
- Sales deliveries on SAGE
- Project code creation
- Post all general journals
- Update fixed asset register for any capex
- Prepare work in progress schedule
- Review overtime schedule
- Analyse monthly expenses and ensure they are posted to correct GL accounts
- Post accruals
- Post miscellaneous issues & receipts
- Revise standard costs upon request
- Review and validate month-end stock report
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts
- Post year end journals
- Prepare Final TB & GL
- Supervise annual stock take
- Reconcile physical stock to final stock report
- Review actual costs against standard costs
- Reconcile job card pipeline report
