Job summary
A leading employment agency in Rustenburg is seeking a qualified candidate for a financial accounting role involving the maintenance of general ledgers, preparation of financial statements, and payroll processing. This position requires expertise in budgeting, compliance, and taxation. The ideal candidate will work closely with audits and ensure accurate financial reporting in adherence to regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial accounting and management accounting.
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and payroll processing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accruals, pre-payments, and reconcile bank accounts.
- Assist with payroll processing and liaise with external audits.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Financial Accounting :
- Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage accruals, pre-payments, and journal entries
- Reconcile bank and control accounts
- Management Accounting :
- Budget preparations and variance analysis
- Cash flow forecasting
- Cost tracking and analysis
- Assist in decision-making with financial data
- Bookkeeping :
- Process daily transactions
- Maintain records of income and expenses
- Manage supplier and customer accounts (AP / AR)
- Tax & Compliance :
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns to SARS
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and financial regulations
- Liaise with external audits and assist in audit preparation
- Payroll :
- Assist with or manage payroll processing
- Reconcile payroll liabilities
- Submit regulatory returns
