Job description
As an HR Generalist at our FMCG warehousing company, you will play a key role in providing a broad range of human resources services to employees across multiple levels within the organization. You will work closely with management and staff to drive employee engagement, enhance organizational culture, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong HR background who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
    1. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for warehouse and office staff, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
    2. Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation sessions, ensuring a smooth integration into the company culture and operations.
    3. Coordinate with department managers to understand staffing needs and assist with workforce planning.
  2. Employee Relations:
    1. Serve as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related inquiries, ensuring high levels of employee satisfaction and resolution of any concerns.
    2. Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employee benefits.
    3. Support managers in handling employee performance issues, conduct coaching sessions, and recommend appropriate interventions.
  3. Training & Development:
    1. Assist with the identification of training needs and the development of training programs to enhance employee skills, productivity, and safety.
    2. Coordinate internal and external training sessions to improve performance and career growth.
    3. Support the delivery of safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  4. HR Administration:
    1. Maintain employee records and ensure all HR documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
    2. Process employee changes, promotions, and terminations, including updating HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
    3. Administer payroll data, absenteeism records, and other HR-related documentation accurately and on time.
  5. Compliance & Policies:
    1. Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.
    2. Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
    3. Stay updated on changes to labor laws and HR best practices and implement necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  6. Employee Engagement & Culture:
    1. Support initiatives to drive employee engagement, including team-building activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
    2. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, helping to promote open communication, transparency, and teamwork.
    3. Assist in organizing employee feedback surveys and suggest improvements based on results.
  7. Health & Safety:
    1. Collaborate with safety officers to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
    2. Assist in incident investigations and the development of corrective actions to prevent future safety issues.
  8. HR Reporting & Analytics:
    1. Prepare and present HR reports and metrics related to staffing, turnover, training, and other HR activities to leadership.
    2. Track key HR data, including attendance, overtime, and productivity, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Education:
    1. Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are a plus.
  2. Experience:
    1. 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in an FMCG, logistics, or warehousing environment.
    2. Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and employee relations.
    3. Previous experience in managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and payroll processing is essential.
  3. Skills:
    1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
    2. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
    3. Good understanding of safety and compliance requirements in a warehousing or manufacturing setting.
    4. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    5. Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  4. Personal Attributes:
    1. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
    2. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    3. Team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
