A leading global mining company is looking for a Head of Legal to oversee legal operations in Egypt. This role involves ensuring compliance with local laws, managing legal risks, and providing strategic advice to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of legal experience and a deep understanding of the extractives sector. This unique opportunity offers a chance to influence the legal landscape in a high-growth market.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years' legal experience, ideally with both law firm and in-house practice.
  • Expertise in international best practices in the extractives sector, particularly Mining and Oil & Gas.
  • Proven experience in conducting employee misconduct investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all legal affairs for operations in Egypt.
  • Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
