Are you an energetic, well-traveled, passionate individual who loves everything about travel? Are you a customer-centric and motivated team player? Is your passion turning holiday dreams into a reality? Are you willing to work flexible hours? We are hiring experienced Travel Advisors for our retail division in Johannesburg.

Our travel advisors provide world-class service by effectively managing and coordinating the selling and booking of holiday packages to an expanding and dedicated clientele in order to achieve personal and company sales targets, in line with the company strategy.

Responsibilities
  1. Offer professional travel advice and provide accurate and creative quotations to the customer by discussing their requirements. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction and acquire an expanding and dedicated clientele.
  2. Successfully achieve personal sales targets by actively closing sales and converting quotations to bookings.
  3. Effectively manage booking administration processes including planning and preparation of cost itineraries, making flight, accommodation, and related bookings, actioning amendments and cancellations, and adhering to payment processes.
  4. Maintain high levels of quality and productivity by managing workload and meeting deadlines.
  5. Ensure processes are followed to reduce errors and losses and take pride in your quality of work.
  6. Offer world-class service, develop a culture, strive to exceed expectations, and provide a “wow” service to our customers.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Travel and Tourism Certificate
  2. Proficient on a GDS, Amadeus preferred
  3. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  4. A minimum of 1 year travel industry experience in a retail or tour operator environment is essential with a proven record of reaching sales targets
  5. Practical experience with compiling travel packages and creating costings
  6. Able to work flexible hours (shift work)
  7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  8. Good geographical knowledge
  9. Thorough working knowledge of the reservations process from input to output
  10. Experience with reading and interpreting contracts
  11. Ability to meet targets and attention to detail is critical
  12. Effective communication skills (effective written and verbal communication)
