Duties and Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble, maintain, and preform all maintenance duties assigned and assisting in Fabrication department when required
• Align structures or plate sections to assemble tanks, following drawings
• Work involves use of hand and power tools, plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs or turnbuckles.
• Cast and bend parts into shape, and welding and bolting parts together.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Boilermaker with transformer tank manufacturing experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience in welding and cutting for maintenance projects
• Ability to use power tools.
• Writing and reading skills shall be a definite requirement.
• Must be able to communicate with the supervisors.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must follow company procedures at all times.
• Must have the ability to work with manufacturing terminology.
• Must be able to collect materials form stores.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to assist with handling difficult situations.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and co-ordinate various activities simultaneously.
• Perform any other reasonable duty delegated to you.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• A keen sense of urgency and a willingness to learn additional job-related skills.
• Be able to work night shift, overtime and at times unsupervised.
• Living within the area or own transport is a requirement.
