Job summary
A leading talent sourcing agency in Durban is seeking an experienced Art Director to develop compelling visual concepts and advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three to five years of experience in a reputable advertising agency, exhibit strong design abilities, and manage projects under pressure. This role requires excellent attention to detail and the capability to work well within a creative team. A portfolio showcasing conceptual and design skills is essential for consideration.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three to five years experience as an Art Director at a reputable advertising agency.
- Portfolio that demonstrates conceptual ability and design skills, ideally award winning.
- Must be self-managed and able to complete projects with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Develop an overall visual concept that communicates to the target audience.
- Work cohesively with the team to conceptualize ideas and designs.
- Design and craft original, relevant, and impactful communications.
- Manage multiple accounts working within budgets and scheduling requirements.

- Work cohesively with their team, conceptualizing ideas and designs, formulatingartwork, and storyboards based on the client's specifications
- Working closely within their team to develop top quality advertising andpromotional campaigns within the parameters of the client brief
- Design and craft concepts into original, relevant and impactful communications;
- Followthrough to the completion of the job whilst maintaining explicit attention to detail andadhering to project timelines
- Manage multiple accounts that require working within budgets and schedulingrequirements
- Scamping, sketching and storyboarding ideas in order to obtain approval from theCreative Group Head and ClientArt Direction of photoshoots, briefing and working with photographers and Production.
- Pitch creative work with confidence
- Minimum of three to five years experience as an Art Director at a reputableAdvertising Agency
- Tertiary Qualification in Art Direction, Design, Packaging / Art Theory (or similar)would be ideal
- Conceptual ability and solid design skills with a portfolio that demonstrates this (ideallyaward winning)
- Must be self-managed and able to complete projects with limited supervision

- Self-disciplined with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a close knit team environment
