Job description

• Responsible for a variety of research tasks to inform investment strategy and make informed decisions for the company or clients.
• Identify business strategy, processes, products, road mapping for the company
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
• Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support
• Analysis of financial information to assist the business profitability and growth.
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
• Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Formulating reports and analysis around different areas of the business and highlight areas of improvement and potential solutions to enhance the company and its profitability as well as savings and cost reduction
• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
• Conducting regular feasibility studies within the company
• Power BI reporting, drafting and development thereof
• Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
• Data Mining and Interpretations of trends
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
• Data and Efficiency Analysis reports and studies
• Business Analysis and data modelling.

Qualifications and experience:

• Degree inFinance, Statistics, Economics, Business Studies, Information Management or related
• Advanced Excel (VBA, Pivots, Power User and Data Manipulation)
• Experience withdata query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
• Power BI reporting experience
• Understanding and working knowledge of SQL
• Previous experience in drafting feasibility studies andfinancial analysis reports
• Experience interpretinglarge volumes of data and collating this information
• 3 plus years experience in a Financial Data Analysis capacity
