A leading tech company in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Application / Platform Security Engineer to design and implement security measures. This role requires over 6 years of experience and relevant certifications. Responsibilities include conducting security assessments, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Qualifications
- NQF 6 or a Degree in Information Communication Technology (ICT) field incorporating Information Systems.
- Microsoft certification or Oracle Certification or AWS security certification required.
- Minimum of 6 years experience as a Senior Application / Platform Security Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
- Provide security training and awareness for stakeholders.
- Perform regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Implement and manage security tools and technologies.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends and best practices.

- Staying updated with the latest security trends and best practices
