Job summary
A well-established finance company in Epping, Cape Town is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support their finance team. The role involves assisting with the preparation of reports, processing transactions, reconciliations, and maintaining organized financial records. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and attention to detail. This is a full-time, office-based position with a salary range of R19000 to R23000 per month.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting or invoicing software.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Enter and verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and other reconciliations as required.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Assist with budgeting tasks when needed.
- Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects.
