A financial services firm in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Fixed Income Analyst to join their team. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in fixed interest, strong analytical skills, and a Bachelor's degree in finance or economics. This role offers a competitive salary between R300K and R600K, based on experience, and involves responsibilities like analyzing macro-economic variables and optimizing portfolios.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years in fixed interest, credit research, or risk management.
- 3+ years fixed income experience (buy side) with proven investment track record.
- Ideally pursuing CFA or FRM.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and interpret macro-economic variables for investment decisions.
- Communicate insights to the Fixed Income Portfolio Management and broader Investment team.
- Value fixed income securities and interest rate derivatives.
- Analyze bond yield curves and instrument sensitivity.
- Monitor risk-adjusted returns, optimize portfolios, and enhance credit performance.
- Assist in trading and administration of fixed income securities.
