An award-winning UK firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors is looking to hire an Audit Senior to work at their office in Cape Town.

As an Audit Senior, you will build on the continuing growth in the charities/NFP team, or the media/technology team. This role will entail running audits for a variety of UK clients across these sectors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Carry out audits using a bespoke risk-based audit approach
• Coordinate with the client, the manager and colleagues on the audit
• Plan, perform and oversee the audit process in line with agreed timetables
• Liaise with clients and complete audit testing
• Allocate responsibilities and delegate work to more junior members of the team
• Review team members’ work for accuracy and compliance
• Perform effective risk and control assessments Liaise with the manager to ensure work is reviewed and any queries addressed
• Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency
• Train, coach and encourage junior members of the team
• Dynamic and able to adapt to changing audit standards and regulation Adaptability and ability to respond positively to change
• Familiar with and have an awareness of the laws and regulations that apply to accounting and audit and are required to ensure compliance

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified CA(SA) / Eligible to register as a CA (SA)
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficient in using the Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook Experience of an electronic audit program
• Experience of CaseWare Accounts and Xero would be an advantage In-depth understanding of auditing standards and control practices

Salary & Benefits

• R55 000 / month | R650k / annum
• Two one time cash contribution payments of R15,000 for medical aid and pension
