An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Electrical Engineer to take the lead in designing and implementing advanced power and industrial electrical systems. The role focuses on the design, specification, and integration of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) networks for industrial and renewable energy projects, ensuring full compliance with South African Grid Code standards and technical best practices.

• Oversee the engineering, design, and development of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems and distribution networks.
• Prepare and execute detailed designs for Motor Control Centres (MCCs), DC power and battery systems, protection systems, and renewable energy integration.
• Develop layouts for lighting, small power, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with statutory requirements, safety regulations, and Grid Code standards.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and manage all electrical project interfaces.
• Support project procurement, tender evaluations, and documentation.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and provide guidance to junior engineers.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in multidisciplinary electrical design within the power generation or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of OHS regulations, environmental compliance, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in electrical analysis tools such as ETAP or DigSilent.
• Sound knowledge of SANS, IEC, ISO 9001, and electrical protection systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and report-writing abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure.

• Bachelor of Science (BSc Eng) or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng).
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
