Job summary

A prestigious wilderness reserve in South Africa is seeking a charismatic Waiter to enhance the guest experience. This role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in fine dining or upmarket cocktail settings and proficiency in upselling techniques. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong command of the English language, attention to detail, and a presentable appearance. Flexibility in working hours is essential. Compensation details will be discussed upon selection.

Job Summary:

The position requires a charismatic guest orientated salesperson with great attention to detail, to serve food and drinks to guests and prepare the outlet in accordance with RCH standards

Organisational Positioning:
  • Department: Food and Beverage
  • Reporting to: Food and Beverage Manager
  • Location: Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat
Minimum Experience or Qualification:
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a fine dining restaurant (restaurant waitron); or upmarket cocktail bar (bar waitron); or 4/5* Hotel / Lodge Outlet
  • Exposure to a Point of Sales System (Micros - advantageous)
  • Good command of the English Language with solid knowledge of hospitality vocabulary
  • Highly presentable
  • Able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
Key Performance Objectives:
  • To maximise revenue generating opportunities, whilst enhancing the guest service experience, through upselling, in accordance with outlet service journey
  • Ensuring that mise en place is done in accordance with F&B outlet standard
  • Service guests in accordance with outlet service journey and company service culture
  • Handle operating equipment in accordance with company standards ensuring minimal breakages
  • Ensure that all revenue is accounted for by practicing the “swipe before you serve” principle for all transactions
