Entry-Level Bookkeeper — Training Provided
Job summary
An established accounting practice in Durban is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper for an entry-level role. The successful candidate will assist with daily financial transactions, prepare general ledger entries, handle accounts payable/receivable, and perform bank reconciliations. Prior experience is not required, but familiarity with Pastel accounting software is advantageous. Comprehensive training will be provided, making it ideal for those starting their accounting careers.
Qualifications
- Entry-level position with no prior experience required.
- Pastel experience advantageous but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assist with capturing daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries.
- Assist with accounts payable / receivable.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports.
- Assist with VAT submissions and payroll inputs.
