The ideal candidate should have a completed Com Accounting qualification and at least 4-6 years of experience in a similar role, particularly within insurance or financial services. Proficiency in IFRS, VAT, and Income Tax is necessary, alongside strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently. Qualifications

  • Completed Articles Experience and Knowledge required.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounting entries and prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Prepare monthly petty cash, bank and GL reconciliations.
  • Prepare commentary on the financial results for Management.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and prepare required confirmations.
  • Support the implementation of internal controls and report discrepancies.
  • Assist in the implementation of the ERP system.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
  • Com Accounting or related qualification completed.
  • Completed Articles Experience and Knowledge required.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in Insurance or Financial services is key.
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS, VAT and Income Tax.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • MS Office with solid Excel skills (intermediate).
  • Strong attention to detail.

Key Performance Areas
