Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their client's team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with 10 years of relevant experience, including auditing and SARS dealings. The role involves managing accounting functions, preparing financial statements, overseeing payrolls, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Proficiency in Sage, Sage One, and QuickBooks is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a structured and friendly financial environment.
Qualifications
- 10 years’ relevant accounting experience.
- Auditing background essential.
- Proven experience dealing directly with SARS (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc.).
- Payroll administration experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting functions for multiple entities.
- Prepare management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Handle SARS submissions and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Oversee and process payrolls accurately and on time.
- Support management with reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
