A leading health and safety company in Bellville is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. This role involves conducting audits, leading incident investigations, and promoting a proactive safety culture across departments. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Strong communication and training skills are essential for success in this role.
Health and Safety Officer: Order Fulfilment. The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving health and safety standards, procedures, and systems across all operational areas within the Order Fulfilment Department. This role promotes a proactive safety culture, ensures adherence to legal and company requirements including ISO 45001 and the OHS Act, and supports incident prevention through risk identification, training, and corrective action. The Officer will conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments, lead incident investigations, develop mitigation plans, and facilitate continuous safety awareness campaigns. The main purpose of this role is to maintain 100% compliance with safety standards, minimize workplace incidents, and foster a culture of safety excellence across the Sales Floor, Warehouse, and Collections Office.
