Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically adept Lead Hull Supervisor to join our FLNG project team in Singapore. With a proven track record in structural hull design, conversion, and analysis, the successful candidate will lead hull-related construction, integration, and supervision efforts, ensuring strict compliance with international standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate all hull construction and integration activities during FLNG project phases.
· Review and approve detailed hull structure designs, key plans, and conversion scopes.
· Liaise with shipyards, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with technical and safety requirements.
· Conduct structural analysis reviews (global and local) and ensure adherence to classification society standards (ABS, DNV, KR, etc.).
· Oversee hull modification works, including stability, rule scantling, vibration analysis, and structural reinforcements.
· Support marine system integration between hull and topside structures.
· Monitor work progress, provide daily/weekly reports, and ensure milestone achievements.
· Implement and maintain HSE standards across all hull-related works.
· Mentor and guide hull engineering staff and subcontractor teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering (Pusan National University).
· 30+ years of experience in hull structure design, construction, and project leadership within the shipbuilding and offshore sectors.
· Expertise in:
- Hull & basic design for LNGC, FPSO, FSRU, COTs, and PCTC vessels.
- Structural analysis tools: MSC PATRAN, DNV Nauticus, NAPA.
- Classification rules: ABS, DNV, LR, RINA, GL, KR.
- Conversion and retrofit projects.
· Former team leader, director, and CEO roles in reputable marine engineering firms.
· Familiarity with shipyard operations and subcontractor management in Korean and international settings.
Desirable Skills
· Experience in FLNG, FPSO, or large-scale offshore projects.
· Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
· Previous involvement as an adjunct professor or trainer is a plus.
· Fluent in English; Korean language skills beneficial for team coordination.
