Established over a hundred years ago, Takasago is a global leading company in the flavour and fragrance industry, having developed flavours and fragrances for some of the world’s most successful manufacturers of foods, beverages, fine fragrances, home, and personal care products.
For over 35 years, we have been a leading industrial producer of L-Menthol, using our core technology, asymmetric synthesis.
This technology enables us to produce unique, novel, and nature-identical aroma ingredients, and in addition, to manufacture pharmaceutical intermediates, functional materials, and other fine chemicals.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the engagement and negotiation of work terms with contractors, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and project alignment.
- Ensure the awarded price aligns with the project budget or negotiate to secure the optimal price.
- Participate in contractor price negotiations alongside the Facilities Manager and issue Purchase Requests (PR) for necessary approvals.
- Responsible for handling and processing legal documents, including Letters of Indemnity, Workmen’s Insurance policies, and other relevant agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Familiar with workplace safety regulations related to contracting work involving companies that employ foreign workers.
- Ensure contractors comply with food safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Monitor contractors' daily activities and ensure they are working within their designated areas, maintaining productivity and adherence to project guidelines.
- Review and verify contractor-submitted documents, permits, and timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain and update contractor documentation related to safety induction, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Prepare and deliver weekly reports on contractor engagement, analyzing data to develop a structured matrix for evaluating participation, performance, and impact.
- Manage contractor and inter-department grievances, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Update weekly reports with highlighted issues for review and action by the Facilities Manager.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned, along with providing administrative and facilities support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma, preferably in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or Facilities Management.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in managing contractors in manufacturing environment industry.
- Good attitude, meticulous and able to work independently.
- Team player and excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to take up challenges.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
