A leading stainless steel manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Welder Supervisor to oversee welding operations and manage a team of welders. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of welding experience and at least 5 years in a supervisory role. This position involves ensuring quality standards and coordinating with project managers to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a welder.
- At least 5 years in a supervisor role.
- Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of welders in daily operations.
- Plan, assign, and monitor welding tasks.
- Inspect welding work for compliance with specifications.
Skills
Education
The Supervisor (welder) will be responsible for overseeing welding operations, managing a team of welders, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Supervise and lead a team of welders in daily operations
- Plan, assign, and monitor welding tasks to ensure timely completion
- Inspect welding work to ensure compliance with drawing specifications and safety standards
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and QS teams for project requirements
- Maintain quality records and assist with audits/inspections when required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a welder with at least 5 years in a supervisor role
- Certificate in welding (AWS or equivalent) is an advantage
