Job summary
A leading electronics company in Singapore is looking for an experienced electronics designer to engage in hardware and software design projects, including embedded systems and compliance with regulatory standards. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with procurement and marketing teams, and have strong experience in programming and PCB layout. This role requires a degree in Electronic Engineering and at least two years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years' relevant working experience.
- Familiar with global regulatory standards.
- Good knowledge in embedded design and MCU architecture.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronics hardware and software design.
- Document engineering details including firmware coding.
- Collaborate on product development progress.
Skills
Education
Perform electronics hardware and software design including analog, digital, sensing technology, motor control, power electronics and embedded firmware.
Layout of schematic and PCB layout.
Document engineering details including firmware coding, design notes, FMEA and technical review documents.
Collaborate with counterparts on product development progress, from design, development of electronics parts to final production.
Implement design solutions to meet product specification and ensure reliability.
Work closely with procurement team in component sourcing, product costing and value analysis to support development effort.
Work closely with marketing and development team to define product requirements.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with at least 2 years' relevant working experience.
Familiar with global regulatory standards to ensure specifications and requirements compliance.
Good knowledge and experience in embedded design implementation, RTOS, test verification, product validation, production testing, MCU architecture and common peripherals.
Strong knowledge in using PADS and programming language (C, C++ and assembly).
An innovative team player with strong analytical skill.
Candidates with 5 years and above experience may be considered for Senior role.
