Ophthalmic Technician - Specialist Clinic
Job summary

- Assist ophthalmologist in eye examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform basic diagnostic tests.
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment.
- Prepare patients by recording medical and ocular history.
- Administer eye drops or medications.
- Guide patients through procedures.
- Manage patient flow.
- Maintain accurate clinical records.
- Ensure hygiene and calibration of instruments.
- Provide front-line patient service.

- Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment (OCT, fundus camera, autorefractor).
- Prepare patients by recording medical and ocular history.
- Administer eye drops or medications as instructed.
- Guide patients through procedures and post-care instructions.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and data entry.
- Ensure hygiene and calibration of instruments.
- Provide front-line patient service and basic eye care advice.
- Any other tasks assigned.
- With relevant educational qualification.
- Patient-fronting working experience will be advantageous.
