Job summary
A food production company in Singapore is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations. Responsibilities include planning production schedules, managing staff, and enforcing food safety standards. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The position requires commitment to shifts, weekends, and public holidays, offering a salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production role.
- Proven customer service experience with strong leadership skills.
- Understanding of current food safety and hygiene regulations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize daily production schedules.
- Hire, train, supervise, and motivate production staff.
- Implement food safety standards and monitor production quality.
- Manage inventory and control production costs.
Skills
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production schedules to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines.
- Hire, train, supervise, and motivate production staff. Manage employee performance, schedules, and development programs.
- Implement and enforce strict food safety standards (such as HACCP and GMP), hygiene, and sanitation protocols. Monitor production runs for quality and make adjustments as needed.
- Manage raw material and finished goods inventory, coordinate with procurement, and control production costs and waste.
- Ensure production equipment is in good working order by scheduling regular maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
- Work with other departments like quality assurance, R&D, sales, and logistics to ensure a smooth workflow and to introduce new products.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Proven customer service experience, strong leadership, motivational and people skill
- Understanding of current SFA regulations, (hygiene and health, and safety legislations.
- Able to commit shift, weekends and public holidays
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Able to work under extreme pressure
- Ability to delegate tasks.
