Job summary

A local recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage finance operations within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, approximately 8 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. This role includes supervising the finance team and advising project managers to support business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Background in the Construction Industry is preferred.

  • Manage full-spectrum finance operations, including FP&A and monthly reporting.

Job Summary

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage full-spectrum finance operations, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly management reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to manage funding and monthly cash flow, strictly adhering to agreed terms with main contractors, asset owners, and suppliers.
  • Maintain quarterly rolling forecasts and conduct variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to track project financial health.
  • Act as the primary liaison for bankers, corporate secretaries, and regulators; source and secure competitive bonds and insurance required for construction projects.
  • Advise Project Managers and Procurement teams on financial alignment and support overall business decision-making.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Have a background in the Construction Industry.
  • Approximately 8 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word).
