Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore is seeking an experienced candidate for a role involving customer service and document processing in ocean freight. Responsibilities include maintaining shipment details, preparing essential documents, resolving customer inquiries, and collaborating with procurement teams. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding, field operations, or planning/scheduling.
  • Strong business insight and proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Knowledge of customs clearance processes and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and maintain shipment details in systems accurately and on time.
  • Prepare essential sea freight documents such as Arrival Notices and Delivery Orders.
  • Report and communicate cargo incidents to customer service and relevant parties.
  • Resolve billing disputes and respond to customer inquiries efficiently.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams for rate negotiation and space availability.

The Opportunity:
  • Our Client, MNC shipping & Logistics company
  • Location: Kallang Way / Changi South
  • Salary: Up to $3500
  • Working hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
  • Accurately input and maintain shipment details in CW1 and relevant internal/external systems accurately and on time.
  • Prepare essential sea freight documents (e.g., Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, Cartage Advice).
  • Report and communicate cargo incidents (e.g., short shipments, damage, misrouting) to customer service and relevant parties.
  • Resolve billing disputes, respond to customer inquiries, and intercompany postings efficiently.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to discuss on the rate negotiation and space availability.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in customer service for exports/imports and document processing for ocean freight.
  • Knowledge of customs clearance processes and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong business insight and proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced level).
