Job summary
A semiconductor manufacturing company in Singapore seeks a Facilities Technician. The role involves maintaining critical systems, executing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met. Candidates should have a Nitec or relevant qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical fields and ideally 2 years of related semiconductor manufacturing experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel are necessary, and the candidate must be ready to respond to emergencies promptly.
Qualifications
- 2 years working experience in semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
- Hands-on experience in relevant field required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operation and maintenance of critical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Achieve key performance indicators for facility systems.
- Be a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Skills
Education
- Maintain smooth operation and maintenance of critical system including:
- Clean room environment management
- HVAC, exhaust, and related mechanical systems, including scrubbers
- Electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage)
- Process cooling water systems
- Pure water, wastewater treatment, and reclaim plant operations
- Chemical delivery systems (e.g., resist, plating/developing solutions, stripping, etching, flux cleaning) and bulk gas (e.g., nitrogen) delivery
- Building management and maintenance
- Maintain continuous supply of utilities and ensure all facilities meet performance specifications to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain accurate records of important specification parameters, maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections conducted within the facility.
- Identify opportunities to enhance facility operations and propose improvements in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Respond to repair requests and ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
- Provide urgent troubleshooting support for facilities equipment, including during off‑hours, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Execute in-house preventive maintenance to minimize facilities equipment downtime,
- Supports in Permit-To-Work coordination for Facilities department, focusing on managing conflict of operation, maintenance and installation work schedule to minimize impacts to Production and the site in general.
- Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) set by your departmental head to sustain top-tier facilities systems.
- Be a team member of the ERT (Emergency Response Team)
Perform any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals.
- Nitec or relevant technical studies in Mechanical / Electrical or related field
- 2 years working experience, preferably with relevant hands‑on experience in semiconductor manufacturing related.
- Able to use Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skill
- Comfortable to be on standby and return to the office within 2 hours of emergency.
