Job summary

A leading art gallery in Singapore seeks a Facilities Maintenance and Operation professional to ensure the operational readiness of gallery spaces and retail locations. Responsibilities include managing facility operations, setting up displays, and maintaining supplier relationships. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in operations and facilities maintenance, with strong attention to detail and bilingual communication skills in English and either Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia.

Qualifications

  • Meticulous with great attention to details.
  • Able to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational readiness of galleries and retail spaces.
  • Set up gallery displays, including hanging paintings and adjusting lighting.

Job description

As the Facilities Maintenance and Operation, you will be key person in handling and maintaining the operational readiness of the 3 gallery spaces in Tanjong Pagar Distripark and additional retail spaces in Paragon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Key person in the facilities management of all the gallery and retail spaces to ensure operational readiness of the business
  • Set up the gallery display, including hanging the paintings, moving sculptures and pedestals, adjusting lighting, etc
  • Maintaining productive relationships with suppliers
Requirements
  • Min. 1-2 years of experience in operations and/or facilities maintenance
  • Diploma or graduate in any arts management, facilities management or related courses
  • Meticulous with great attention to details
  • Customer orientated with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Resourceful and able to work independently
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated and able to undertake pressure
  • Knowledge on inventory control is an advantage
  • Bilingual in both English & either Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia to liaise with associates and clients
