Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced L2 Security Engineer to analyze and resolve security issues. This role requires excellent troubleshooting abilities and the capability to manage support tickets effectively while meeting SLA requirements. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in security administration and relevant IT security certifications. Qualifications

Job description
L2 Security Engineer is responsible to:
  • Analyse problems, perform troubleshooting, and track problems through resolution
  • Responsible for monitoring activities, such as security and bandwidth usage
  • When necessary, elevate problems to the appropriate stakeholders/principals
  • Ensure generation and management of support tickets according to SLA requirements
  • Schedule and run periodic maintenance for security infrastructure at the data centre
  • Plan and manage change request and/or maintenance activities for security operations including firmware patches
  • Ensure zero service level breaches and achieve 100% compliance with policy and procedure
  • Perform change request, service request as assigned by team lead according to the SLA
  • Off‑site standby after office hours
Job Requirement
  • Minimum 2 year of experience in security administration
  • Relevant certification in IT security is highly preferable
Special Knowledge of Skill
  • Experience in systems administration (Windows/Linux) would be a plus
  • Able to handle demanding service response and recovery turnaround
  • Provide daily support to meet stringent SLA requirements
  • Meticulous and process‑oriented
  • Good, hard‑working attitude with ability to work well under pressure
  • Good communication skills in English (written, spoken)
  • Good teamwork
  • Good analytical skills with ability to work with others to resolve problems
  • Good organization skills, with ability to properly document and track information
  • ITIL certification will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of the following products will be advantageous: BeyondTrust, SEPM, RSA, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, FortiGate and Safenet
