Retail Assistant Accountant (EAST/ Cap $4.5k + VB!)
Job summary
A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in AR/AP functions, specifically within the retail industry. The role requires strong competency in MS Excel and involves managing billing, collections, and reporting tasks. Interested candidates should apply via email with their resume and expected salary.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in related AR / AP / GL Accounting functions.
- Must have experience in the retail industry.
- Competency in MS Excel is essential.
Responsibilities
- Process POS sales and ensure accurate billing and reconciliation.
- Manage AR collections and liaise with agents for currency collection.
- Prepare management reports including monthly sales statements.
Skills
- POS Sales Posting to System
- Cash, Credit Cards and eWallets Collections & Reconciliation
- Liaise with Local & Foreign Currency Cash Collection Agent
- Billing & Rebilling of Non-Retail Income, Rebates, Compensation etc.
- Create Slip for Billing & Rebilling in System
- Follow up on AR collections with Vendors
- Creation of Payment Link
- Refund Processing & follow-up with Bank / Payment Platforms
- AR Aging
- Update Billing, Reconciliation, Collections/Contra and Outstanding Status
- Analysis of Billing & Latest Collections Status by Category for Management
- Monthly Sales Statement reporting
- Vouchers verification and On-line submission
- Sales Audit Preparation
- IFRS 116 Leasing
- Depreciation Run
- Prepayment
- Monthly Spot Check
- Min 3 years' experience in related AR / AP / GL Accounting functions
- MUST Retail Industry Experience
- Competency in MS Excel
