Junior Relationship Manager (Japan Market)
Job summary
A top-tier securities firm in Singapore is looking for a Junior Relationship Manager to support their Japan Desk. The successful candidate will maintain relationships with UHNW and HNW Japanese clients, assist in managing client accounts, and handle client onboarding processes. Candidates with a minimum of 3 years in private banking and proficiency in English and Japanese are preferred. This is a great opportunity to grow within the financial services industry.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in private banking.
- Professional working proficiency in both English and Japanese.
- Experience in financial services is advantageous.

OVERVIEW Our client, a top-tier securities firm in Singapore, is seeking a Junior Relationship Manager to support the development of their Japan Desk. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the Head Relationship Manager for the Japan market, contributing to the growth of a high-potential client segment.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and High Net Worth (HNW) Japanese clients, ensuring exceptional service and long-term engagement.
- Support the Relationship Manager in managing and deepening existing client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
- Facilitate client onboarding processes, including Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation and compliance checks.
- Execute client trades and manage daily account operations, including order processing and transaction follow-ups.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses across all communication channels.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in private banking, with a strong focus on the Japan market.
- Professional working proficiency in both English and Japanese to effectively liaise with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Prior experience in the financial services industry or possession of relevant qualifications (e.g., CMFAS) is highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a client-centric mindset.
