Job Description
- Oversee the sterilization process of medical equipment to maintain safety and compliance.
- Conduct microbiological tests and interpret results accurately.
- Develop, validate, and implement sterilization processes and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with local and international healthcare standards and regulations.
- Work closely with the Life Sciences team to ensure the sterility and safety of all medical equipment.
- Identify potential microbiological risks and implement preventive measures.
- Assist in the training of staff on sterilization and microbiology best practices.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure consistency and excellence in all processes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Sterilization and Microbiology Specialist should have:
- Relevant educational qualifications in Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Relevant years of experience each in Microbiology laboratories and EO Sterilization.
- Working knowledge of ethylene oxide (EO) sterilization per ISO 11135
- Experience with basic microbiological laboratory techniques, including aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization processes and microbiology testing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and interpreting results.
