Job summary
A well-established construction firm in Johor Bahru is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Manager. The role involves managing a team of Quantity Surveyors, monitoring project costs, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, communication, and negotiation are required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in main contractor/developer and residences construction.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and related project management tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:
- Delegate tasks to contractors and subcontractors to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Evaluate potential hazards and risks to maintain a safe work environment.
- Facilitate effective communication between management, contractors, and subcontractors regarding adjustments to cost estimates.
- Conduct negotiations throughout the project lifecycle to promptly resolve issues.
- Manage project scope to align with objectives and enhance deliverables and key activities.
- Supervise a team of Quantity Surveyors.
- Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to objectives and building contract laws.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Analyses costs and develop strategies to enhance overall project value.
- Prepare tender and contract documents in compliance with regulations.
- Provide guidance on contractual claims to effectively manage project scope.
- Present cost analysis reports to GM and management, ensuring clear and insightful data presentation.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and promptly address issues to keep the project on schedule.
- Verify the accuracy of cost calculations through meticulous review and analysis.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills specific to Quantity Surveying tasks, effectively resolving challenges encountered during project execution
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and Glodon Software (TAS, TRB).
