Warehouse Receiver/Inventory Controller (Simpang Ampat)

Warehouse Receiver is responsible for managing the intake of perishable goods by receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments against shipping documents, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality. They meticulously document deliveries, accurately store received items in their designated locations, maintain an organized inventory system, and report any discrepancies or damage to proper channels. Receivers also handle the physical aspects of the job, including unloading deliveries and operating machinery like forklifts, while adhering to safety protocols to keep the warehouse environment safe and efficient.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unload incoming shipments from trucks, visually inspect goods for damage, and verify that the items received match the packing slips, invoices, or purchase orders.
• Check for correct quantities, product quality, and ensure that received items are not damaged or incorrect.
• Accurately record all received shipments into the inventory management system and complete necessary paperwork for the delivery.
• Safely and accurately store received goods in their designated warehouse locations, ensuring they are placed in the correct areas for future access.
• Assist in performing inventory counts and reconciliations to identify any discrepancies, losses, or shortages.
• Identify and report any items that don't meet order specifications or are damaged, coordinating with shippers or vendors for replacements or returns.
• Operate machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and unload items.
• Follow all relevant health and safety protocols to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including the proper disposal of materials.
• Sort and organize pallets by type and ensure vendors retrieve the same number of pallets they delivered.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Malaysian citizen.
• 1–3 years of working experience in retail, grocery, or warehouse operations; experience handling perishable goods is an advantage.
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) barcode scanning.
• Formal food safety training (HACCP certification) is required.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks, including lifting heavy retail items.
• Basic computer skills for inventory updates and record-keeping.
• Good teamwork, communication skills, and a positive working attitude.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
