Warehouse Receiver is responsible for managing the intake of perishable goods by receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments against shipping documents, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality. They meticulously document deliveries, accurately store received items in their designated locations, maintain an organized inventory system, and report any discrepancies or damage to proper channels. Receivers also handle the physical aspects of the job, including unloading deliveries and operating machinery like forklifts, while adhering to safety protocols to keep the warehouse environment safe and efficient.
