The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and efficient operation of the warehouse, with a focus on perishable goods such as fruits, vegetables, and other retail items. This role oversees all aspects of warehouse management, including inventory accuracy, quality control, regulatory compliance, and distribution efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • SPM; Diploma or Bachelor’s preferred
  • 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience in fresh produce or food handling is an advantage.
  • Certified forklift driver will be an added advantage
  • Ability to operate reach trucks or forklifts is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Effective communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English
  • Willing to work in Sri Serdang/Seri Kembangan
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee and optimize all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution of perishable and non-perishable goods.
  • Establish and enforce protocols for delivery inspections, ensuring discrepancies or damages are promptly addressed with suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate stock management through systematic cycle counts, audits, and robust inventory control processes.
  • Implement and monitor FIFO/FEFO practices to safeguard product quality, reduce wastage, and comply with food safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with cold chain and storage standards for fruits, vegetables, and other perishable items.
  • Oversee order fulfilment processes to guarantee accuracy, efficiency, and timely dispatch to customers.
Team Management
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a diverse workforce including foreign workers and local staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Design and deliver training programs on warehouse operations, safety, and quality standards to build staff capability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, encouraging collaboration and innovation to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage workforce scheduling, workload allocation, and performance appraisals in alignment with operational needs.
Equipment & Safety
  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Establish and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensure strict compliance with occupational health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Champion a culture of workplace safety and hygiene by implementing regular audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
Inventory & Quality Control
  • Lead the development and implementation of inventory management strategies to ensure stock accuracy and minimize losses.
  • Oversee quality control procedures for inbound and outbound goods, ensuring compliance with customer expectations and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor product shelf life, storage conditions, and rotation systems to maximize product integrity.
  • Provide senior management with regular performance reports, highlighting stock movements, wastage levels, and warehouse KPIs for decision-making.
