As the Warehouse Assistant Manager at Eonmetall Group Bhd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our Penang-based distribution facility. This full-time role will involve overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, managing a team of warehouse personnel, and driving continuous process improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
- Lead warehouse operations: Oversee daily activities to ensure smooth material flow and accurate inventory control.
- Implement best practices: Apply FIFO/FEFO principles and continuous improvement strategies to optimize performance.
- Manage inventory: Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels in SAP / WMS systems.
- Collaborate across departments: Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Planning teams to ensure timely material supply.
- Develop your team: Coach and train warehouse staff, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Drive process improvements: Utilize Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other operational excellence tools to enhance efficiency.
- Experienced professional: Minimum 10 years in Warehouse, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or EMS environment.
- Strong leader: Ability to manage and motivate a team of warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, and material handlers.
- System savvy: Proficiency in SAP / WMS systems (e.g., ERP, Oracle, or equivalent) for accurate inventory management.
- Multilingual communicator: Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia required, with Mandarin as an advantage to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Process optimizer: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other operational excellence tools to drive continuous improvement.
