Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and production processes in Chery’s manufacturing operations. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with Chery’s quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems, components, and equipment used in production lines.
- Provide engineering support for installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance and production efficiency.
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and 3D models to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with suppliers, maintenance, and production teams to address technical and quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures.
- Ensure all mechanical systems adhere to safety, ISO, and environmental standards.
- Support new equipment commissioning and line modification projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, preferably within the automotive or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design, machine systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and maintenance processes.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and technical documentation.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and safety regulations will be an advantage.
