Overview
As an Experience Designer in the Design Lab, you will leverage your expertise in Design Thinking and Product Vision toolkits to transform complex problem statements into actionable solutions. You will actively participate in and drive conversations with stakeholders through discovery and vision workshops to establish a clear understanding of the problem space and explore potential solutions.
Responsibilities
- DesignThinking&ProductVision: Utilize Design Thinking methodologies and Product Vision toolkits to navigate complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead and participate in discovery and vision workshops, collaborating with stakeholders to establish a shared understanding of project goals and challenges.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product owners, developers, and business users to refine the user experience of products, ensuring they are intuitive and enjoyable to use.
- Problem Space Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the problem space to inform design decisions and create effective solutions, driving problem-solution fit.
- Develop Visualisation of Solution and User Journey: Help business and stakeholders to visualise the solution and user journey. Develop rapid design prototypes of the solutions to validate problem-solution fit, user validation.
- Quality Focus: Ensure that design work meets high standards of quality, aligning with process and prioritization to deliver high-quality designs for key product areas.
- This role encompasses User Experience Design, User Interface Design and elements of designing for digital services and enterprise applications.
- Conduct a thorough UX research which may include activities such as data analysis, user interviews, persona development and running design workshops.
- Develop a well-structured, comprehensive information architecture/sitemap based on innovative user journeys.
- Developing wireframes, hi-fi prototypes and high-quality UI screens compatible with a range of devices and screen sizes.
- Ensure design hand-offs are smooth and developer-friendly. Provide support and validation post implementation with development team.
Qualifications
- Experience: From 2 to 6 years’ experience as a User Experience Designer or Product Designer. Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industries is an added advantage.
Technical Skills / Knowledge
- Has a good portfolio of design work (e.g. designing for web app, mobile app and digital services)
- Experience with design tools, and design testing tools: Figma, Sketch.
- Experience working in an Agile and SAFe environment; knowledge and understanding of agile methodologies.
- Experience with Agile workflow tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps.
