Job summary

A leading food and beverage company in Malaysia is seeking a Treasury Specialist to manage bank transactions and support market Treasury functions. The successful candidate will prepare and validate Treasury Reports, ensure timely payments, and liaise with both internal teams and external banks. Candidates should have 4+ years' experience in Treasury or Finance and a degree in a relevant field. Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Treasury or Finance functions.
  • Prior experience in Big 4 firms is an advantage.
  • Experience in insurance is beneficial.

We are looking for a Treasury Specialist to act as the main liaison between Nestlé Treasury Centre, local market and payroll for bank transactional related issues. The individual will support the market Treasury functions by closing the gap between services provided by the shared services and Treasury Centre teams to the internal and external customers and act as the main contact person for the banks - coordinating & overseeing the bank accounts and facilities.

A day in the life of...
  • Provide documentation when required by local regulations or statutory bodies and liaise with central or commercial banks to ensure compliance
  • Prepare, consolidate, analyse and validate Treasury Report such as Nestle Intra Group Loan Confirmation, Treasury Report (TREA report), Quantum VS SAP report, Daily Forecast, Cash Flow Forecast, Forex Forecast, Bank Charges, Net Financing Cost and etc
  • Ensure collection and payments are executed timely as per schedule such as AP payment, Manual payments, Payroll payment and Netting collection and payments etc
  • Provide support on working capital initiatives implementation (i.e. Supplier financing initiatives coming from NTCs / Centre).
  • Ensure treasury documentation/agreements are always up-to-date and current and assist in opening new bank accounts or closing existing bank account, etc
  • Review and validate to ensure Vendor Master Data Bank Details are updated correctly
  • Support management and governance of Cybersecurity risks around payments (Banking Portals, payment platforms, manual payments etc)
  • Assess, investigate and negotiate settlement of claims with suppliers, shipping companies, transporters and service providers before filing claims with our insurer. To maximise recoveries from 3rd parties and reduce losses. Monitor and follow-up closely on all claims to ensure speedy and maximum recovery of claims
  • Review contractual arrangements with 3rd parties in order to identify any insurance requirement and ensure that 1) they are in line with GRS program/practice and 2) Nestlé's risk exposure is mitigated as much as possible
  • Review processes and procedures with relevant stakeholders for continuous improvement, to minimize claims in order to optimize insurance premium costs.
What will make you successful
  • Prior experience in Treasury / Finance function. Experience in Big 4 is an advantage
  • Prior experience in insurance would be beneficial
  • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
  • Degree or professional qualification in Accounting / Finance / Business
