Job description

From a user-oriented perspective, responsible for editing, proofreading, translating, optimizing, and maintaining various bilingual (Chinese and English) technical documents, user manuals, and other product-related or company-related materials. Ensure all documentation is accurate, professional, logically structured, and easy for users to understand. Responsible for long-term document maintenance, version control, and ensuring consistency and systematic integrity across all product documents.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare, edit, optimize, and maintain bilingual technical documents and user manuals related to the company’s cellular modules, embedded systems, and other products or services, ensuring clarity, logical structure, and technical accuracy.

Perform document checking, proofreading, content refinement, structure enhancement, formatting, publishing, and version upgrade maintenance to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Streamline and optimize the entire documentation workflow—from drafting to review, approval, publishing, and archiving—to improve documentation efficiency and quality.

Develop, update, and maintain various documentation templates, content templates, and checklists; establish and promote documentation-related standards and guidelines.

Translate various types of hardware technical documents, specifications, R&D training materials, and other content between Chinese and English.

Communicate with R&D engineers and cross-functional teams to understand technical content, document intent, and improve documentation structure and accuracy.

Ensure consistency, alignment, and proper version control across all documentation sets.

Proficiently use Microsoft Office and other documentation tools to ensure formatting and styling comply with company standards.

Continuously learn industry knowledge to improve the professionalism, user-friendliness, and overall quality of technical documentation.

Handle other bilingual documentation tasks or assignments as required by supervisors.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Electronics, Technical Writing, English, or related fields.

2–3 years of experience in translation, technical writing, copywriting, or editorial work preferred.

Experience in the communication/telecommunication industry, embedded systems, software or hardware documentation is an added advantage.

Solid foundation in translation principles; familiar with English grammar and capable of accurate bilingual translation (Chinese–English).

Excellent Chinese and English writing skills; strong ability to summarize, consolidate, and clearly express technical concepts.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of following established documentation formatting standards.

Strong logical thinking, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.

Good communication and coordination skills; able to collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams.

Strong willingness and ability to learn new knowledge, particularly in the communication/cellular module domain.

Responsible, patient, meticulous, and able to focus on text-based work.

Innovative mindset and ability to improve documentation processes or content are a plus.

Strong service awareness and team spirit.
